A focus on pragmatic education and practical qualifications to nurture graduates with the skills and knowledge required for the 21st century workplace.
Shumei University was founded in 1988 and thus still is one of the “newer” universities in Japan. There are just over 1,500 students which enables the university to give personalized support and assistance to every student. Many graduates build on the knowledge and skills obtained at the university, and have now joined various Japanese firms or found work in their native country.
There are five faculties at the university: Faculty of Teacher Education, Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Management and Governance, Faculty of Global Management*, and Faculty of Tourism and Business Management. Currently, overseas students can enroll in all faculties except for the Faculty of Teacher Education and the Faculty of Nursing.
The university campus is in Yachiyo City, which is located almost in the center of Chiba Prefecture. Narita International Airport and Bay Area towns such as Urayasu and Makuhari are accessible within one hour.
Our quiet, park-like campus atmosphere offers relaxing surroundings to study and interact with fellow students.
